27 Candles was written as the soundtrack for the Amazon Prime original film “TQM”.

This song looks at mental illness and suicide from the innocent eyes of a young, blissful, wanna-be (female) Kurt Cobain.

As the song progresses, our protagonist begins to realize that the 27 Club is not at all glamorous, and begins to understand the horrible truths and painful lives of those who lost them at 27 years old.

We then see a glimpse of our protagonist’s own reality, and why she glorifies such a devastating concept.

With this new record, I strived to create a song that is stripped back (to basics) and includes human error, unlike the computerized sounds we are all so used to listening to nowadays. Through Back To Basics, I’m reintroducing myself, my style as an artist, and my music.

This single features live instruments by Nic Collins (@nic_collins), Steven Shapiro (@chaoscanine), Agustin Espina (@agustinespinamusic), Yang Waingarten (@yang_waingarten), and vocals with minimal computer interference - produced by Dave Poler (@davepoler).

Back To Basics tells the story of what it truly means to be living in a world that is constantly changing. Through its soothing lyrics and melody, and dynamic instrumentation, Back To Basics takes us on a journey of finding peace and strength within ourselves.

The only constant in life is change, and Back To Basics is a lullaby written to help you embrace and love all that you cannot control.

Our goal is to bring smiles to the faces of the elderly and those most in need within our community. By combining our musical talents with community service, we are encouraging the growth of our members, within the community, and as individuals.

Our volunteer musicians share concerts, bedside performances, and other interactive programs each week at hospitals, assisted living residencies, homeless shelters, hospices, and treatment centers – our team is a consistent source of joy and inspiration to patients, their families, and facility staff.
